This field visit to Delaware County Veterans Memorial Park gives the youth an opportunity to meet with a veteran and hear their story. They leave with a better understanding of the importance of our history and the sacrifices made by our veterans. The youth are assigned clean up responsibilities in order to beautify and maintain our historical park.
Class and community service takes place at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial on the 4th Saturday of every month from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. Community Service is from 9:30 am to 10:00 am. A tour of the site and one-on-one with a veteran is from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
