The Center for Resolutions is a nonprofit organization that provides residents of Delaware and Chester Counties and surrounding areas alternatives to dealing with conflict. We offer the following:Mediation Services offers the opportunity for persons in conflict to come together with trained volunteer mediators in a neutral setting to talk about differences and work out an agreement that is satisfactory to everyone involved. The long-term goal of our School Program is to help schools develop environments that reflect constructive and effective means of dealing with conflict, allowing children to grow and learn within a safe, supportive, and peaceful community. We accomplish this through peer mediation and programs designed to explore conflict resolution skills and alternative to violence. The Youth Aid Panel program works within the neighborhood to help first time juvenile offenders. Panels consist of trained community volunteers who meet with referred juvenile offenders and their families. Panelists recommend resolutions that benefit all concerned. Mediation and Conflict Resolution Training is available to individuals, businesses, organizations and communities. Experienced trainers offer a practical, hands on approach for dealing with conflict. |
The Center for Resolutions' mission is to empower people to generate effective and lasting resolutions of their disputes. We enter disputes as an impartial third party, and help people take control over what is happening in their own lives by setting their own priorities and making their own decisions. Our services include mediation, dispute resolution training, school programs, meeting facilitation, youth aid panels and community education about alternative conflict resolution methods.
